Präsentationen in Englisch (Language of Presentations)

Präsentationen sind in der Regel in 3 Teile untergliedert:

1. Einführung („Introduction“)
2. Hauptteil („Body“)
3. Abschluss („Conclusion“)

Hinzu kommt als 4.Teil die Fragerunde der Zuhörer.

Die (gelungene) Einführung („Introduction“) hat einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf den Verlauf bzw. die Akzeptanz der weiteren Präsentation und ist damit vielleicht der wichtigste Teil.
Besondere Funktionen der Einführung sind - neben der Herstellung einer Beziehung zu den Zuhörern - die Darstellung der Struktur der Präsentation und die Relevanz des Themas.
Außerdem bietet sie die Möglichkeit, Rahmenbedingungen wie den Zeitrahmen, die Verteilung von Materialien („Handouts“) sowie die Regelung für Fragen des Publikums zu kommunizieren.

Der Haupteil („Body“) stellt die eigentliche Präsentation dar und eine klare Struktur, für die verschiedenen Unterpunkte, deren Analyse, Empfehlungen und Übergänge entscheidend sind.

Der Abschluss („Conclusion“) wird genutzt, um die Kernpunkte und die wichtigsten Implikationen der Präsentation zusammenzufassen, dem Publikum zu danken und die Fragerunde zu eröffnen.

In Präsentationen werden in der Regel Folien, Schaubilder etc. ("Visuals") eingesetzt. Die entsprechenden Redemittel sind in einem Anhang zusammengefasst.
